After replacing your windshield, you should always recalibrate your ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). Most ADAS have cameras and sensors located on the windshield. These cameras and sensors provide road feedback for safety features like lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and collision avoidance.

If the ADAS equipment isn't calibrated, important safety features may malfunction or may not work at all. Your car's system could fail to alert you of a safety issue or alert you at the wrong time. Either situation could be dangerous! Your car may suddenly brake, swerve, or otherwise react to incorrect information.

Dynamic calibration, or on-road calibration, since the bulk of the work takes place when driving. It begins in the shop with a diagnostic tool to identify which ADAS features are not in use, just like static calibration. Then, the technician drives on roads with traffic and performs specific maneuvers.
